Adam R. Levine (b. 1978 in London, England) is a film and video artist whose work focuses on hidden histories, vernacular practices and the cityscape. His films and videos have screened at a number of venues and festivals including: the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Barbican Centre, London; the Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas; Centro Cultural São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil; Artists’ Television Access, San Francisco, CA; the Locarno Festival; the Vienna International Film Festival (VIENNALE); AFI FEST; DocLisboa; the San Francisco International Film Festival; the Vancouver International Film Festival; the Mar Del Plata International Film Festival; the Jeonju International Film Festival; and the Camden International Film Festival. Adam holds a BA in Film and English from the University of East Anglia and an MFA in Film/Video from the California Institute of the Arts. He is currently Associate Professor of Art, Film and Media Studies at Amherst College in Massachusetts.
